Wix | AI Discount Recommendation

Context:
Merchants use discounts to achieve different business goals, from increasing conversion and average order value (AOV) to driving retention and clearing stock. However, they often have limited information to guide these decisions, making it difficult to choose the right discount for a specific business goal. The opportunity was to use AI and store data to recommend discounts tailored to each merchant’s business, goals, and performance.

My Role:
As the Product Designer, I led the design process end-to-end, from researching users and competitors to exploring concepts, defining new AI interaction patterns, and designing the final experience. I worked closely with product managers, developers, and data teams, continuously analyzing user interactions, feedback, and AI-generated results to identify gaps and iteratively improve both the experience and recommendation quality.

Outcome:
The project introduced an AI-powered experience that uses merchant intent, store data, and sales performance to recommend relevant discounts and guide merchants through creating them - helping merchants make more informed decisions while reducing the complexity of discount creation.
